Unit Conversion

Conversion of units is the conversion between different units of measurement (such as length, temperature, mass, volume, etc.) for the same quantity, typically through multiplicative conversion factor.

For example, length is a physical quantity. The meter is a unit of length that represents a definite predetermined length. When we say 10 meters (or 10 m), we actually mean 10 times the definite predetermined length called "meter".

The most widely used system of measurement is the International System of Units (abbreviated as SI), it comprises a coherent system of units of measurement built on seven base units. See below:
